A Day in My Life

Every school day, I get up at seven o'clock. First, I wash my face at the sink in the bathroom. Then I open the refrigerator and get milk and eggs to eat breakfast with my family.
After breakfast, I put on my shoes and go to school with my classmate who lives next door. We walk through the front door of the school together and find our classroom. My teacher opens the window to let in fresh air.
Our first subject is reading. Today's lesson is about a story with talking animals. I sit at my desk, listening carefully, because my teacher says listening is important. Then we practice writing new words in our notebook with a marker.
Next, we have art. Art is my favorite subject! Our activity today is a paper project about the four seasons. We use scissors for cutting, and glue to stick the pieces together. I like coloring and drawing best of all.
At recess, my classmates and I run outside to the playground. We play a counting game and take turns jumping rope. Recess is short, but it is my happiest part of the school day.
At lunch, my classmates and I sit together and eat lunch in the big cafeteria. We talk about our morning and laugh about the animal story from our reading lesson.
In the afternoon, we have math. Our class schedule shows math right after lunch every day. My teacher gives us homework about numbers to finish at home.
After school, I climb the stairs to my bedroom and do my homework at my desk. My schedule at home is different from my schedule at school, but both are important.
Before dinner, I wash my face again and help set the table. After dinner, I read a book with my mom, and then I go to bed.
Every day has the same routine — but each day at school feels a little different, because of the activities, the subjects, and the friends I see.
