Today my class visits the zoo. We are excited to see many animals.
First, we see the elephant. An elephant is a mammal. It lives in a big habitat with grass and trees.
Next, we see the giraffe. The giraffe is tall and eats leaves from high trees.
Then we see the lion. A lion is a predator. It hunts other animals for food.
Near the lion, we see the zebra. The zebra is the lion's prey. Zebras live together in a herd.
The tiger has orange fur with black stripes. It has sharp claws.
The crocodile is a reptile. It has hard scales and lives in the river.
The hippo also lives in the river. It stays in the water all day.
The kangaroo jumps high. It carries its baby in a pouch.
The monkey climbs the trees. It uses its hands very well.
The panda eats bamboo. It is black and white.
The parrot has colorful feathers. It can copy sounds and words.
The penguin is black and white too, but it cannot fly. It swims in the cold water.
The camel lives in a hot, dry place. It can walk for a long time without water.
Some animals are wild, and some live in a herd. A lion and a zebra are not the same animal.
At the end of the day, my class shares what we learned. It was an amazing trip.
